During the first two months of their life lion cubs drink only their mother`s milk. After six weeks they begin to accompany their mother when she goes looking for food. So they learn how to find and catch animals they can eat. After about fifteen months the cubs are able to catch small animals themselves. Cubs leave their mother after two years.
